Hypothesized that information about families of origin and procreation would contribute to explanation of divorce adjustment. Found that social network size, income change, pile-up of family stressors, and perceived severity of the divorce explained 67 percent of variance in divorce adjustment for men, while perceived severity of divorce alone accounted for 20 percent of variance for women.
