This paper reports a preliminary study of the consequences of limited discretionary time on the role, function, and meaning of leisure in the lives of women with both professional careers and parenting responsibilities. Analysis of the data collected revealed certain themes and issues in common. Implications of methodology and findings are discussed. (Author/MT)
