What Teachers Say about Inservice Workshops.

A study assessing teacher workshops in central Missouri revealed little teacher involvement in planning and implementation of in-service programs for teachers. While teachers' views of the most important topics coincided with those offered in workshops, teachers also had additional ideas for topics not offered. Only half the teachers studied found workshops helpful. Few of districts studied did follow-up evaluations.(MD)
