Elementary school students (N=237) completed a survey to determine school, home, and general mental health needs of children. Results revealed 38 children who met criteria for being at risk for some type of mental health problem. Evidence suggests that procedure described might help to identify a group at risk for suicide, although this conclusion is difficult to prove conclusively. (NB)
