Seventh- and tenth-grade students were shown segments of Music Television (MTV), then asked to respond to a brief attitude survey on parental influence, premarital sex, violence, drug use, and the influence of MTV. Results suggest the potentially powerful influence of popular music and MTV, especially on attitudes towards violence and premarital sex. (PS)
