Noting the success of Britain's Open University with its reliance on self-paced workbooks, independent reading and computer-based instruction, this article offers a case study of the introduction of a resource-based learning component in the final year of an honors geography course. States that helping students maintain regular study patterns was the greatest difficulty. (JDH)
