Findings from 74 summer camp staff serving disabled children suggest: burnout exists; emotional exhaustion is the burnout phase more often experienced; staff reporting higher social support report less burnout; perceptions of social support decrease as summer progresses; camp administrators need to develop/evaluate strategies to foster social support within their staffs.
