Argues that the developmental training imperative implicit in the counseling literature should be taken seriously, through more concentrated efforts to articulate the specifics of counselor education along developmental lines. Presents a constructive-developmental theoretical framework and describes its incorporation into two-core theory classes in a counselor education program. (Author/ABB)
