Application of a Sequential Prompt Reduction Technique to the Independent Composition Performance of Behaviorally Disordered Youth.
Schloss, Patrick J.; And Others
Behavioral Disorders, v11 n1 p17-23 Nov 1985
A systematic prompting system involving four levels of prompts (self-initiating, motivational, content related, and literal) increased the number of sentences written as well as decreased the average prompt level for three youths (14-15 years old) with behavior disorders. Ratings by independent judges were significantly higher for compositions produced during intervention than during baseline. (Author/CL)
