Investigated incidence of serious suicidal thoughts among 207 high school seniors and 901 college students. Those considering suicide were more likely to view: (1) their parents as having interpersonal conflicts; (2) their relationship with their father as poor; (3) at least one parent as angry or depressed; and (4) themselves as having a drinking or drug abuse problem.
