Measuring Hassles and Uplifts among Adolescents: A Different Approach to the Study of Stress.
Miller, Mark J.; And Others
School Counselor, v33 n2 p107-10 Nov 1985
To identify and assess the psychological and physical impact of stress, defined as daily hassles and uplifts, on adolescents, 38 students completed The Hassles Scale, Uplifts Scale, and Psychological and Physical Health Scales. Results indicated that hassles (the influence of peers, preoccupation with the physical and social self, and concern about the future) were negatively correlated with health. (BL)
