The Bioengineering Program of the Association for Retarded Citizens has undertaken three projects: (1) a computer-based environmental control system to help people with severe and profound mental retardation; (2) a software system that features assessment and remedial components with opportunities to play a video game; and (3) a bladder sensing system designed to promote independent toileting.
