Recent efforts to modernize instruction in Romanian higher education and to integrate teaching with production and research are outlined. Areas discussed include balancing basic and specialized training, new interdisciplinary efforts, increasing students' practical experiences, expanding types of instruction, promoting technological literacy, and improving the admission system.
