The study outlined here indicates that managers and skilled and unskilled workers hold different perceptions of the meaning of retirement and different expectations about what they can achieve during this stage in their lives. The implications for preparation for retirement programs are examined, and suggestions made as to appropriate content and methodology. (Author)
