Impartiality and Participant-Interest Theories of Organizational Effectiveness.
Keeley, Michael
Administrative Science Quarterly, v29 n1 p1-25 Mar 1984
Following a summary of traditional views on organizational effectiveness, the author describes relativistic, developmental, power, and social justice approaches that appeal to the various interests of organizational participants or constituents. Affirming the advantages of social justice based theories, the article then proposes an alternative harm minimization principle for evaluating organizations. (Author/JBM)
