Individualizing through Treatment Matching: A Necessary but Not Sufficient Approach.
McCombs, Barbara L.; McDaniel, Mark A.
Educational Communication and Technology: A Journal of Theory, Research, and Development, v31 n4 p213-25 Win 1983
Effects of alternative modules designed to compensate for precourse memory and motivation differences were investigated for differences in content and task requirement. Interaction analyses on lesson times-to-criterion and criterion test scores indicated compensating treatments were partially effective in improving performance of low-memory, low-reading ability and low-curious students and high-anxious students.
