A national study of faculty job satisfaction explored satisfaction levels and factors and the differences between faculty in professional schools and other disciplines. Teaching dimensions and research requirements were the most satisfying environmental elements, and support and compensation aspects were the least satisfying. Professional school faculty were more satisfied on almost all dimensions. (Author/MSE)
