A study was designed to evaluate the instructional effectiveness of the "Lowell Thomas Remembers" tapes, which are excerpts from Movietone News films chronicling major news events from 1919-1975. The study determined that use of the tapes would not significantly increase achievement over more traditional methods, at least for institutionalized delinquents. (JOW)
