Criteria teachers and student teachers use to evaluate curriculum materials were explored in research based on personal construct theory. Such information can be used to help teachers: (1) become more aware of attitudes which limit their perspectives; (2) see the full potential of materials; and (3) plan instructional activities. Implications for teacher education are noted. (PP)
