Analyzed items from the 1972-1980 cumulative National Opinion Research Center General Social Survey to examine whether father's occupation, educational attainment, and respondent's occupation affect various attitudes and behaviors. Findings did not demonstrate effects of intergenerational occupational mobility, occupational return on investment, status consistency, or parental occupational stratum. (Author/GC)
