Black Students' Perceptions of Counseling Appropriateness: A Preliminary Study.
Walter, Jane; Miles, Johnnie H.
Journal of Non-White Concerns in Personnel and Guidance, v10 n4 p133-42 Jul 1982
Determined concerns which Black students (N=37) thought were appropriate for discussion with counselors at a predominantly White university. Explored perceptions of users and nonusers of counseling services. Found users and nonusers agreed that it is more appropriate to discuss vocational choice than college routine or personal adjustment. (RC)
