"Beat the Record," a structured math testing/learning station activity, directs the learning disabled student's emphasis from a specified goal to one that surpasses a previous achievement. The student is motivated to participate in the testing process, and the teacher controls the variables which reduce performance (materials, physical setting). (CL)
