Evaluation of Staff Development: How Do You Know It Took?
Loucks, Susan F.; Melle, Marge
Journal of Staff Development, v3 n1 p102-17 Apr 1982
Three staff development evaluation techniques are presented as alternatives to satisfaction questionnaires. The techniques--stages of concern, levels of use, and component assessment-- underscore the ideas that: (1) New teaching skills will be used in the classroom; (2) Finding out about classroom practices requires individual interaction with each teacher; and (3) Evaluations are good only if they are useful.
