This article focuses on the need to incorporate the total person concept within the elementary school health education program. Examples from two sets of materials appropriate for the fourth and fifth grades and the fifth and sixth grades illustrate the importance of balancing mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical life aspects in education.
