The Relationship of Traditional Mexican American Culture to Adjustment and Delinquency among Three Generations of Mexican American Male Adolescents.
Buriel, Raymond; And Others
Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, v4 n1 p41-55 Mar 1982
Investigates 81 first, second, and third-generation Mexican American male adolescents to test whether integration with traditional Mexican American culture promotes healthy psychological adjustment and less juvenile delinquency. Finds no differences in educational aspiration, but that third-generation subjects had lower expectations, higher delinquency rates, and higher disjunction scores. (Author)
