From Backwardness to L.D.: Behaviorism, Systems Theory, and the Learning Disabilities Field Historically Reconsidered.
Franklin, Barry M.
Journal of Education, v162 n4 p5-22 Fall 1980

Rather than offering "backward" or "learning disabled" children increased educational opportunities, these procedures relegated them to a subordinate place in American society. (Author/GC)
