Isolating Factors Related to Paraprofessional Effectiveness.
Creaser, James W.; Carsello, Carmen J.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v26 n3 p259-62 May 1979
In a precollege counseling program seven paraprofessionals (graduate students) received higher ratings than 20 full-time professionals. The common bond of being students helped the paraprofessionals in counseling entering freshmen. Greater sensitivity (higher correlation between need and service rendered) for paraprofessionals in concerns about becoming college students was found. (Author/JC)
