Practice Location Preferences at Entry to Medical School.
Haug, Marie R.; And Others
Journal of Medical Education, v55 n4 p333-38 Apr 1980
A study of factors influencing medical students in their choice of future practice locations shows that the majority of entering students prefer a small town or mid-size city, and that 70 percent prefer primary care. The factor that best predicts location preference is not specialty, as previous studies indicate, but form of practice organization (i.e., solo, hospital staff, etc.). (Author/JMD)
