Goal Attainment, Locus of Control, and Coping Style in Adolescent Group Counseling.
Gatz, Margaret; And Others
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v25 n4 p310-19 Jul 1978
High school counselors conducted small group counseling sessions. Perspectives on outcome were provided by goal attainment ratings. Students attained both personal and educational goals. Planfulness of coping style was related to goal attainment. Results suggest counseling should include teaching planful problem solving, and should not overemphasize students' internality.
