Lorenz curves and Gini coefficients of concentration are used to measure the extent to which school places are uniformly distributed between provinces in Papua New Guinea. For the period studied, the distribution has become significantly more uniform, in keeping with the nation's planning objectives for more equal educational opportunity. (Author/SJL)
