Asserting that a well planned art program is vital to every student in Tennessee, this article argues that art: increases perception; provides aesthetic expression; provides multiple skill development; increases appreciation of beauty; provides decision making opportunities; promotes self-discipline; provides accomplishment opportunities; aids in social adjustment, group cooperation, and much more.
