Beyond Internationalism: A Case for Multiple Dimensions in the Structure of Foreign Policy Attitudes.
Bardes, Barbara; Oldendick, Robert
Social Science Quarterly, v59 n3 p496-508 Dec 1978
Examines the structure of foreign policy opinions of United States citizens using a representative national sample and a wide range of foreign policy issues. Examination of attitudes toward world problems, detente, and international organizations demonstrated that mass opinion develops from complex attitudes. The strongest influence on attitudes was regional, with the South being strikingly different. (KC)
