The Effects of Selected Entering Behaviors and Different Cognitive Levels of Behavioral Objectives on Learning and Retention Performance in a Unit on Population Genetics.
Anderson, Elaine J.; Fowler, H. Seymour
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, v15 n5 p373-79 Sep 1978
Investigated high and low entering behavior levels and different cognitive levels of behavioral objectives across four treatments. Findings indicated that preassessment of student knowledge is a useful educational tool and that educators should be cognizant of learning variables that interact in the learning process so that unfounded generalizations are minimalized.
