Describes development of a computer-assisted instructional tool which provides linkages among the language of college students, the conceptual terminology of sociology, and the classification descriptors used by reference librarians and professional indexers and abstractors. The computer system helps students to focus their research questions and identify appropriate library reference tools. (Author/AV)
