It is not readily apparent whether the deviant behavior of drug addicts should be attributed to deficient moral values, deficient ego controls which includes intelligence, attentional control, and delay of gratification, or to both of these factors. Attempts to ascertain the level of moral reasoning of drug addicts to determine whether they differ from a nonaddict population in this dimension. (Author/RK)
