Thirty packages, consisting of student handbooks which explain information sources and provide exercises for hands-on experience, were produced by the Traveling Workshops Experiment. Their development, their testing and usage in universities and polytechnics, their advantages, and their adaptability to public and special libraries are discussed. (JAB)
