In a study of the relationship of sex differences to success in science careers, data were analyzed for 229 female and 221 male chemists who obtained Ph.D's at American universities between 1955 and 1961. Findings indicate that male chemists slightly outpublish female chemists and that sex differences do exist in the determinants of productivity. (Author/DB)
