The experience-poor environment of the suburbs have not trained our children to cope with diversity and interpersonal stress, nor provided them with constructive stimulation. Suburban schools should be especially sensitive to the unique problems that confront their students and should redesign their programs to deal with this challenge. (Author/IRT)
