A survey of the literature concerned with the recent growth of group preretirement education programs shows a marked increase in the field among a wide range of professionals in both education and industry. Five variables are discussed: Size of group, age of participants, length of programs, mix of participants, and program topics. The article states that such programs are productive and valuable and suggests more use of experienced professional group facilitators in the programs. (MF)
