Education and Treatment of Children, v48 n1 p85-91 2025
The current study used a multiple baseline across behaviors design to evaluate a rapid coaching intervention for teaching two caregivers to implement naturalistic language interventions (NLIs) with their child with autism. Coaches were preservice behavior analysts completing a personnel preparation program in applied behavior analysis who collaborated with a speech-language pathologist. Caregivers displayed improvements in implementing components of NLIs within a few visits and maintained all behaviors, suggesting that rapid coaching is a potentially effective and efficient approach for teaching caregivers to implement foundational behaviors associated with improved child language outcomes.
