Beth K. Janetski; Mary K. Thompson
Assessment Update, v37 n1 p6-7, 14 2025
The Grand Challenges Project supports global collaborations that inform equitable practices for assessment practitioners in higher education while identifying evidence-informed solutions. One goal named in the project is to leverage assessment findings to increase equity in higher education. This article focuses on the results from the Equity Action Makers team, a subgroup of the Grand Challenges project, that aims to identify and articulate work currently underway at institutions and translate the ideas presented that may be transferable to other institutions. Another focus of this research explores how data is used to promote equity and to identify the tools and insights needed to foster a more equitable educational landscape. The authors aimed to equip professionals with the tools and insights to contribute to a more just and equitable educational landscape through practices and themes identified from this project.
