Journal of Faculty Development, v37 n1 p54-65 2023
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (UTSD) Faculty Focus Group Series were conducted to better understand the challenges and success of specific groups of faculty members regarding, 1) appointment, promotion and tenure, 2) career advancement, 3) diversity and inclusion, and 4) stress and burnout. The five focus groups consisted of international faculty, women faculty, junior faculty, underrepresented minority faculty, and late career faculty/males. The data was shared with the UTSD Administrative Council and faculty. Significant information was obtained from diverse UTSD faculty.
