Focuses on a sample composed of 52 black economically secure families and finds that these families present a picture of husband and wife jointly working together in the maintenance of their families and in making decisions about their lives. This research suggests that, among some black working class families, the wife dominant relationship does not predominate, nor does it even frequently occur. (Author/JM)
