Utilizing Technology to Elevate Online Graduate Education
Abeni El-Amin
International Journal of Online Graduate Education, v4 n2 2021
The internet is a significant technological advancement and has reshaped society and instructional technology. Therefore, educational environments must capitalize on the internet for instruction. One progressive development of online learning is the use of online delivery methods. Student engagement and retention are strengthened by considering a myriad of ways to engage participants. Three critical success factors in graduate online delivery must be considered: technology and resources available, instructor teaching style preferences, and the previous use of technology from a student's perspective. Moreover, instructional technologists and educators play a significant role in facilitating online graduate education, as their role is to become education catalysts and information navigators.
