A study was conducted to evaluate the data-gathering skills of admissions interviewers. Major areas of importance and major problems were identified and recommendations to the admissions committee presented in instructional videotape form to illustrate problems and demonstrate more effective strategies. Conclusions emphasize the importance of interviewer selection and training. (JT)
