Approaches toward Digital Stratified Project-Based Learning

This article reviews different approaches toward a stratified form of project-based learning (PBL) in a digital environment. Recognizing that a variety of participatory layers enriches the classroom PBL experience, the article reviews different formats of stratified PBL that were utilized in a variety of courses. The central point of this review is to point out the importance of accounting for the desired course focus and outcomes and the benefits of providing a stratified form of PBL for students as grounds for further enriching project engagement and content.
