Teaching with Conceptboard: A Professional Online Tool for Student Engagement and Collaboration

This article reviews Conceptboard, a professional collaborative online whiteboard that can be used to enhance student engagement and collaboration, enable real-time group interaction, and promote active learning. What makes Conceptboard particularly relevant for management educators is its familiarity, flexibility, and versatility. It extends and enhances instructors' current ways of connecting with students and seamlessly bridges the gap between an in-person classroom and a remote learning environment, allowing for immersive experiences across teaching modalities. Conceptboard can be used for a variety of individual and team assignments in online or face-to-face classes. This article compares the free version of Conceptboard with free versions of similar online platforms and provides suggestions on how to mitigate its limitations.
