Correlates of decision-making in rural Kenyan (Kikuyu) domestic units are examined with particular attention directed toward ideal expectations and verbal reports of actual decision patterns. Labor migration, homestead structure, and control of valuable resources all have the power to override traditional expectation as determinants of decision-making patterns. (Author)
