To study the influence of affect simulation and Interpersonal Process Recall (IPR) techniques on client growth in personal counseling, an integrated affect-simulation/IPR treatment for college student clients was compared with a traditional treatment. Participants in the IPR/affect-simulation treatment did not score significantly higher or lower than participants who received traditional therapy. (Author)
