Asserting that presidential evaluation is the support and the apex of an overall program of accountability in administration, a former president of the University of Scranton suggests principles and procedures including evaluation based on a mutually accepted job description or priority list, inclusion of self-evaluation, and emphasis on accountability to the board (not the faculty).
